Email from E-Hell about new password request
« on: June 24, 2011, 10:32:13 AM »
Hope this is the right place to put this.  I'm not sure what admin I would pm about this.  I had an email from E-Hell saying the "forgot password" function had been applied to my acccount with a link to set a new password.  I'm just a little alarmed though because I never had any issues logging in and didn't request a new password.  Just trying to figure out what might have happened.  Here's a copy of the email:

Dear jillybean,

This mail was sent because the 'forgot password' function has been applied to your account. To set a new password click the following link:

Me again.  DH just told me I ought to go ahead and change my password in case my E-Hell account has been hacked, so I am actually going to do that now, just in case that causes any confusion with the admins, but I'll make a new request and not use the link in the original email.

That's spooky! I hope it was a fluke thing and not an attempt to be hacked.  :(

I wonder if someone with a similar name tried to login to your account not realizing they had a typo in their login or email address?  Maybe they tried to login as 'jellybean'?

I have no clue what happened or why you received that PM, but I deleted your IP address, hence my reason for editing your post.

Deleted because it was better sent straight to a mod.
