To testify as to the power ehell has over my mind, yesterday I was in Borders and while browsing through Betty White's new book I caught that she, Jennifer Love Hewitt and another co star (or was it JLH's bf/dh? Not sure) played scrabble together.

My first thought was "EWWW!"

Then "Oh yeah, not the e-hell definition of scrabble..."

I was watching Oprah, her favorite things episode. She was giving away iPads with the Scrabble game. She kept exclaiming how much she loved playing scrabble. I laughed so hard that day!

One of my coworkers asked me how I was feeling last week.

Since I was feeling much more cheerful that the day before (hence his question, I'd been in a real funk) I said I was doing much better thanks to a good night's rest.

"Oh", he deadpanned, "just so long as you don't tell me you spent the evening playing scrabble." 

And yes, he *does* know the ehell meaning!!!

Last week our extended family was on vacation together (sharing a large house... 17 people...oy...).   

At one point my newly married sister-in-law loudly said, "Let's play scrabble!"    My instant reaction was to think, "Not so loud! Get a room!"

Funny, I totally get the ehell definition of "Scrabble," but it doesn't translate to real life for me, KWIM?

Maybe because I was a dedicated and voracious Scrabble player before the euphamism. And it would just get weird because DH hates playing (real) Scrabble with me.
