On the last few photos on Kam0706's link, the shots at the concert, Charlene's wearing this fab-u-lous necklace. I am probably never going to be in a position to wear/afford such a thing, but I love it!

Here's an Australian article about her 'escape attempts'.  And some pics.  She looks happy in some of them...

It would have been nice if Jean-Michel Jarre had worn proper attire. I don't care how artistic one is, one should wear proper attire to a royal wedding. For that matter, to any wedding.

I think he started out in proper attire and yet since he was also performing, it stands to reason that his attire will change.

Ok, I know that if you take a bunch of pictures you get some bad ones, but is picture 23 the most awkward kiss ever?

I agree. But then I've never been a big fan of watching people kiss.
Both Albert and Charlene are not overly photogenic, I must say. There are many photos of her with her eyes closed, which is a shame because I really do think she's very pretty.

O/T but I really think that Andrea Casiraghi looks a lot worse than he did a few years ago! Must be too much time in the sun, or maybe chopping off his hair that made him lose his looks?

I voted neither, because I prefer my wedding dress to theirs  >:D

This picture stood out to me. So of course I know that while taking a set of pictures some are bound to show someone with weird faces. But this one pic does not scream happy bride to me :( .

It beats what many get.

One can't justify one's own behaviour on the grounds that other people act even more reprehensibly.

Personally, I would expect my husband-to-be to be responsible enough to take appropriate steps to prevent such occurrences. (Not to mention, of course, that the existence of multiple children with multiple partners makes it a reasonable inference that "safe sex" isn't a top priority with him.)
My cousin's memoir of love and loneliness while raising a child with multiple disabilities will be out on Amazon soon! Know the Night, by Maria Mutch, has been called "full of hope, light, and companionship for surviving the small hours of the night."

I've seen other photos by other photographers of that kiss, and they're all awkward. It just seems as if she's straining so hard.

As to the musician's outfit. Totally inappropriate. jI've never heard of this guy and will have to look him up. He could have at least shown up with a tie and taken it off for the performance.

Princess Stephanie is looking so old- I remember when she was amazing and glamorous. Princess Carolyn still looks great.

I get the feeling that the standard of dress for this wedding was more "red carpet appropriate" than classic wedding (just based on the photos I've seen), in which case the musician is right on target with a current red carpet approach for males. That fits my impression of the Monaco crew!

Why no Carla Bruni - I saw Sarkozy there (rated at about a billion times less interesting without her)? Is she that far into her pregnancy? I'm sad we don't get to see her outfit.

What tipped it off for me was, when I first clicked this thread I did a search for her dress so I could vote in the poll.

What struck me was how many photos there were where she was just not smiling. She looked downright unhappy. And event the ones where she was, it looked forced.

Her lips smile, but it never reaches her eyes.

I had no knowledge of the backstory. All I could think is: What is up with that?

It's no secret that I'm totally in love with Kate's dress. Charlene's dress, however, just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't seem to fit her properly (I wonder if, like a lot of brides, she kept losing weight and they didn't do a final fitting), and I loathe the center seam in the front. It's also a whole lot of uninterupted satin.

However, did you SEE what was in her hair? Oh, how I want it!!!!!

Here's a slideshow with more pics: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/02/royal-wedding-prince-albert-charlene-wittstock_n_889217.html#s302321&title=With_her_dad

I agree that she doesn't look all that happy in most pics, but because I don't know her, I can't tell if it's just the stress of a very public wedding, if she's not normally smiley, or if she really did want to escape.
The status is not quo!

The hair piece is beautiful.

By the way, haven't seen a picture yet of her father smiling either.
