We like to add quinoa to our rice as it adds texture to our brown rice mix. We buy packets of brown/wild/red rice mixtures at Walmart and mix it with brown rice so that the mixture is about 50/50. We measure out however many cups of rice we want to make in the rice steamer and we take about two handfuls of quinoa and add it to the mixture. It doesn't taste like anything, but it adds a nice texture to the rice. We also add quinoa to stews as a thickener since it's healthy.
