“There are some basic, fundamental rules to life and personal relationships- and that the poised will someday be victorious over the tacky heathens of the world!”
I think that one of the reasons chocolate never seems to taste quite as good as an adult as it did as a child is because it’s no longer forbidden or rationed. I used to climb up on the kitchen counter and steal a square of my mum’s cooking chocolate when I was young. If you offered me a square of that same chocolate now, well, meh.
My husband and I were both guilty this year, before Halloween, of eating some of the candy that I’d set aside for trick-or-treaters. He was far worse than me as he has a real sweet tooth, which is why I’d bought a whole extra set and put it in the same cupboard that I keep the recipe books in. He can’t even boil an egg so I knew he’d never go in there! Heh hehe heehhh (not-very-impressive evil laugh).
This was such a great video. Thanks Admin!

This year was our first Halloween in our new house. Previously, DH and I lived in a townhouse complex populated mostly by older people and other childless couples, so there were very few trick-or-treaters. Our new neighbourhood is all young families, and there are kids playing outside every night. Obviously, we would have to prepare for more kids than we were used to.
I bought the chocolate during my weekly grocery trip on Tuesday. It might have been enough, had DH and I not lost all self control that we had and snacked on so much of it throughout the week. By 8:30 Halloween night I was handing out fruit snacks to disappointed trick-or-treaters. Next year I will be more prepared.

Haha. THAT was funny. (Take notes, Jimmy Kimmel)
Oh, that was brilliant! And so very, very true.
